SCE Santa Monica Studio and Fun Bits announced Fat Princess Adventures for PlayStation 4 during PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas.
The upcoming Fat Princess promises to be “bigger and badder” than previous entries, with “fast-paced hack ‘n’ slash action” with up to four players online or on the couch.
“he warring kingdoms from the original game have signed a truce and joined forces to battle the Bitter Queen and her army of hungry Gobblings,” Fun Bits said on the PlayStation Blog. “Your epic quest will span the length and breadth of the land of Great Bitten, from the pinnacles of the Salt Mountains to the depths of the Mines of S’morsia. Along the way you’ll fight dozens of new enemy types ranging from sticky cake golems to dreaded pirates.”
The original game’s classic character classes—including the Warrior, Archer, Mage, and Engineer—will appear in Fat Princess Adventures. But you can upgrade your character this time with new armor, weapons, spells, and other accessories. Each class also has a suite of new combat abilities.
Players will be able to switch between character classes, just like the original game, and princesses are back, as well. You’ll still need to rescue them from time to time, but they’ll fight alongside you with rainbow magic, as well.
