N7 Day 2014: Watch the Mass Effect developer roundtable
Live stream begins at 10 a.m. PST / 1 p.m. EST.
Today is N7 Day, a BioWare-created day of worldwide celebration of the sci-fi RPG series Mass Effect.
The latest release in the franchise was 2012’s Mass Effect 3, but a new entry is in development for current-gen platforms. The last we heard of it, BioWare confirmed the return of the original Mass Effect‘s Mako vehicle. Before that, we saw a short behind the scenes video at E3.
At 10 a.m. PST / 1 p.m. EST today, BioWare will host a developer roundtable on Twitch where it will hopefully share more details about the upcoming entry.
And over at NeoGAF, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn is asking fans what they’d like to see in a Mass Effect trilogy remaster for current-gen consoles, going as far to list his own preferences, which include 1080p resolution, 60 frames per second, high-resolution textures, shader improvements, and all the downloadable content. Flynn, however, does stress that this is only a “wish list” at this point, suggesting that this is not something currently in development.
When it begins, the developer roundtable will be available below.
