PS4 system update 2.00 Japanese screenshots
First look at Share Play, YouTube support, and more.Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia has released a slew of new screenshots from PlayStation 4‘s upcoming 2.00 update following yesterday’s new feature announcements.
Here’s what you’ll see:
- Share Play – Share Play can be activated with the Share button on the DualShock 4 controller. With it, you can invite a friend to join your game, even if they don’t own a copy of it. Friends can jump in as a local multiplayer user or take over your controller to help you get through tricky situations.
- YouTube Support – In addition to Facebook, gameplay clips can be uploaded to YouTube via the Share button on the DualShock 4 controller.
- USB Music Player – Using the new USB Music Player app, you can play music files stored on USB storage devices. In the screenshots, you’ll only see the app icon.
- Broadcasting – Many improvements have been made to broadcasting. In the screenshots, you’ll see the user streaming via Niconico with a user-created message inputted at the bottom of the screen.
- Live from PlayStation – The app which lets you view live broadcasts has been updated with the ability to follow users, continue watching a broadcast via a mini-player while searching for other broadcasts, view archived broadcasts, and filter programs by language. There is also an official ‘Featured by PlayStation’ page.
- Content Area – The screenshots include a look at the new Library app, which now lets you sort content by games, applications, and TV & video.
