The Project Spark Starter Pack will launch at retail for Xbox One tomorrow following a six-month downloadable beta period.
Since the beta began, over one million creators have logged four million hours of making 70,000 game levels that fans will be able to play when it launches tomorrow.
The game builder offers easy-to-use tools, allows players to create, play, and share their own creations with others, play other users’ games, remix them, and more.
While the Xbox One retail version is set to launch tomorrow, you can actually grab the game right now for free via the Xbox One or Windows 8.1 game stores. The $39.99 retail version includes downloadable content you’d otherwise pay $85 for by downloading them separately, including:
- The “Champions Quest: Void Storm” adventure
- “First Contact” sci-fi theme pack
- “Sir Haakon the Knight” playable champion
- “Arctic Glaciers” winter landscape
- “Massive World Builders Pack” expansion
- “Yeti’s Rage” content pack
- One-month “Spark Premium” membership
Of course, if you download the free version, you can unlock this content free by playing the game and earning in-game tokens. Or you can by the tokens with real-world money to unlock them right away.
