Rumor: Microsoft in talks to acquire Mojang

Rumored deal said to value at more than $2 billion.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Microsoft is in “serious discussions” to buy Minecraft creator Mojang, according to “a person with knowledge of the matter.”

The deal, which would value at more than $2 billion, could be signed “as early as next week,” the person said.

Both Microsoft and Mojang declined to comment.
