18 minutes of Tearaway Unfolded EGX gameplay

Media Molecule demonstrate's DualShock 4-specific features.

Tearaway Unfolded

Media Molecule took the stage at Eurogmer’s EGX London this weekend to demonstrate 18 minutes of gameplay from Tearaway Unfolded, its upcoming PlayStation 4 re-imagining of PS Vita’s Tearaway.

The walkthrough, which will take you to familiar areas like Maypole Fields (now 50 percent larger), demonstrates the PlayStation 4 game’s new DualShock 4-specific features. Whereas the concept of the PS Vita version of Tearaway was “a world you held in your hands,” the PlayStation 4 version is “a world you’re playing inside your TV.” An the DualShock 4 plays a big part in the concept’s execution. For example, your character can throw objects into your controller, which you can shoot out into the game world to hit switches and catapults. Or, you might come across darker areas where you’ll need to brighten the room using the DualShock 4’s LED light.

Watch the video below. There’s a Q&A session immediately following the gameplay.
