inFAMOUS: First Light

Sony Computer Entertainment and Sucker Punch debuted the latest trailer for inFAMOUS: First Light during its Gamescom press conference this afternoon.

The downloadable PlayStation 4 title, due out later this month, follows the origin story of Abigail “Fetch” Walker, the neon conduit from inFAMOUS: Second Son. After being captured by the D.U.P, Fetch is taken to Curdun Cay, a conduit prison up in the snowy mountains, where organization leader Augustine sets out to train her to become a ruthless killer.

A new feature revealed at Gamescom is replayable “Battle Arenas” with global leaderboards. Augustine uses these arenas within Curdun Cay to train conduits into killers, and it is there she puts Fetch through the paces, pitting her against wave after wave of challenges to sharpen her powers. Players will be able to return to these arenas and compete for the highest score.

As a bonus for consumers who own inFAMOUS: Secon Son, you’ll also be able to play as Delsin Rowe in the Battle Arenas.

Additionally, Sucker Punch has also introduced new characters Brent and Shane, as well as the “fx spectacle” of Fetch’s neon power bomb.

Finally, Sucker Punch announced that consumers who pre-order the game will get a special D.U.P. outfit for Fetch.
