System
Difficulty Modes
Danganronpa: Another Episode offers three difficulty modes:
Despair Mode (Difficult) – For experienced players, this difficulty setting offers the highest action for players who want to thoroughly enjoy the game. Enjoy the despair.
Komaru Mode (Normal) – The amount of Truth Bullets you can obtain increases, making it easier to advance through the game.
Genocide Mode (Easy) – For players who are not good at action games and just want to enjoy the story. When you’re controlling Komaru, your battery gauge will automatically refill, letting you almost always switch between her and Genocide Jill.
Genocide Jill
When enough of your Battery Gauge is filled, you can press the triangle button to switch to Genocide Jill. While playing as Jill, your life gauge will not decrease, even when under attack, but your Battery Gauge will. By pressing the triangle button again, you can switch back to Komaru.
Choking Fever
Your Fever Gauge will accumulate as you attack enemies. When it’s filled, you can unleash the powerful “Choking Fever” attack. You can stock up to three Fever Gauges and consume just one for a simple attack, or all three for a more powerful attack.
Characters
Makoto Naegi (voiced by Megumi Ogata)
A former student of Hope’s Peak Academy and the brother of Komaru. He is known as the “Ultimate Hope” after defeating the “Ultimate Despair” in Monokuma’s high school killing game.
Byakuya Togami (voiced by Akira Ishida)
A former student of Hope’s Peak Academy known as the “Ultimate Prodigy” and heir to the leading conglomerate known as the Togami Group. He survived Monokuma’s killing game alongside Makoto and Touko.
Servant (voiced by Megumi Ogata)
A mysterious man wearing a necklace with a thick chain attached and a glove on his left hand. He smiles, even when receiving poor treatment.
Hiroko Hagakure (voiced by Chihiro Ishiguro)
A woman with the same surname as the original Danganronpa‘s Yasuhiro Hagakure. She has a ‘people will be people, and I’ll be myself’-type candid personality. She seems to have some connection to the Resistance…
Yuta Asahina (voiced by Toko Aoyama)
A young and healthy boy with brown skin and with the same surname as the original Danganronpa‘s Aoi Asahina. He has a bright and innocent personality.
