Rumor: Halo: The Master Chief Collection coming to Xbox One this year, includes Halo 1-4
Xbox One's 2014 Halo journey.Microsoft will release Halo: The Master Chief Collection—a colection including high-definition remakes of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4—for Xbox One later this year, Engadget reports.
The collection will act as a refresher ahead of next fall’s Halo 5: Guardians release, according to the website’s sources.
When Microsoft officially announced Halo 5 and it’s fall 2015 release this morning, it said something Halo would still arrive in 2014.
Engadget’s report is in line with rumors from earlier this year, which claimed a Halo 2 remake was on the way, which also included ports of Halo 3 and Halo 4, as well as beta access to Halo 5.
The team behind the project is unknown, but considering Saber Interactive, who developed Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for Xbox 360, is working on an unannounced Xbox One project, the team is a likely candidate.
