Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty needs to sell 250,000 copies to fund a remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, series creator Lorne Lanning told Eurogamer at GDC.

And if New ‘n’ Tasty manages to sell 500,000 copies, it will help fund an all new Oddworld game after that, he added.

New ‘n’ Tasty will cost $30 when it launches this year. And according to Lanning, “This game will play better, look better, and you’ll have more fun with for more hours of play than games you’re paying $60 for.

“If this had a publisher, the price would be higher and they’d be calling in triple A.”

In related news, Lanning revealed New ‘n’ Tasty had a budget of “nearly $5 million with about $2 million out of pocket.”
