Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes censored in Japan

Censors don't understand meaning behind the scene, Kojima says.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

The Japanese version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be censored, according to a report from French games site JeuxVideo.

The censored scene is described as a ‘gory and painful’ sequence involving Paz, suggesting it might be the surgery scene we saw in the Red Band trailer.

Series creator Hideo Kojima seems to be upset about this, citing that Japanese censors didn’t understand the meaning behind the violent scene, which is said to be particularly reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid 3.
