Strider will launch via digital download in North America on February 18 (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3) / February 19 (Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC) for $14.99, and in Europe on February 19 across all platforms for €14.99 / £11.99, Capcom announced.
The Double Helix-developed reboot includes two all-new challenge modes on top of a core story mode. The “Beacon Run” challenge mode is a “speed run” race-style mode that challenges players with hitting consecutive checkpoints while defeating enemies in the shortest amount of time. “Survival Mode” gives players a variety of different item an ability load outs to combat waves of increasingly difficulty and diverse enemies.
Global online leaerboards will track both challenge modes, as well as story mode times and status results.
Players will also be able to unlock new costumes and access to a “full array” of customization options, allowing users to create their own unique Strider Hiryu.
