Dragon Quest Monsters 2 remake leads this week's sales.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca’s Wonderful Mysterious Keys

Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Monsters 2 remake for 3DS leads this week’s Japanese sales with an impressive 443,656 unit start.

Sega’s Puyo Puyo and Tetris crossover Puyo Puyo Tetris follows on 3DS at 44,627 sales. The PS3 version charted in position 12 at 10,306 sales, and the PS Vita version at 14 with 8,973 sales. The Wii U version didn’t make the top 20.

The Yokai Watch anime continues to do good for the 3DS game. The July-launched title is in position four this week, moving another 28,000 copies.

Namco Bandai’s PlayStation 3 and PS Vita anime heroine crossover Super Heroine Chronicle performed poorly. The game sold just over 24,000 across both platforms.

On the hardware side, sales across all platforms are down overall. But 3DS sees a small jump thanks to the release of Dragon Quest Monsters 2.
