Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PS4 beta detailed
Latest screenshots and video from PlayStation 4 version. The first phase of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PlayStation 4 beta will run between February 22 and Marh 3 (Japan Standard Time), Square Enix announced.
A second phase will run from April 4 through April 7.
The beta will be accessible to anyone with a PlayStation 4, and directly downloadable from the PlayStation Store.
Characters created during the first phase will be deleted. Characters created during the second phase can be brought into the retail version.
PlayStation 3 players will be able to transfer their characters to PlayStation 4 free of charge. Square Enix notes this is only “necessary” for the beta, as the retail version will feature all players on the same server.
The PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 transfer will begin on Friday, April 11. Transferring to PlayStation 4 will render your PlayStation 3 version unplayable. Users who wish to play across both platforms should purchase the PlayStation 4 version separately. Multiple service account owners can transfer all their accounts to PlayStation 4, and users transferring will also have access during the early access period from April 11 to 13.
