Voice actor adventure game announced for PlayStation 3
CV: Casting Voice coming to PlayStation 3 in 2014.Mystery revealed! Namco Bandai and Gundam Breaker studio Crafts & Meister are developing a new voice actor-themed adventure game called CV: Casting Voice for PlayStation 3, this week’s Famitsu reveals.
As a producer, players will communicate with fictional voice actors and carry out casting and recording sessions. Players can freely decide who to cast for their projects. As your value as a producer rises, you’ll be able to use scripts and cast members you couldn’t use earlier. Scripts range from original works to Namco Bandai-related works. From the young to the more experienced, over 40 voice actors will be participating.
Confirmed characters so far include:
- Saya Uchiyama (内山紗彩) (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu) – 20 years-old. Nicknames include Saaryan and Saayasama. Contrary to her wise appearance shes an indoor person and a bit of a hikikomori. She longed to work as an anime voice actress since childhood. (In the artwork above, she is second from the left.)
- Kumiko Tojou (十条玖美子) (voiced by Kikuko Inoue) – 19 years-old (and 7,300 days—so technically 49 years-old). Nicknames include Tojou-san, Kumi-chan, and The 19 Year-Old. She is a calm and gentle former idol voice actress, and leader of the “19 Year-Olds Party.” (Unconfirmed, but she is probably second from the right in the artwork.)
- Kiyohiko Hino (姫乃雪彦) (voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga) – 20 years-old. Nicknames include Hi-kun and Yuki-chan. He is a new voice actress for cute characters. Since he was young, he was told he was cute, so he chose the path of voice acting to make use of his talent. (Unconfirmed, but he is probably first from the left in the artwork.)
- Takashi Dojo (道場崇) (voiced by Shigeru Chiba) – 54 years-old. Nicknames: Mitchie, Michiba-san. He has a bright and funny personality, but he has a strict side, as well. He manages the lead role in a number of gag anime, and from his experience as an actor he is good at action. (Unconfirmed, but he is probably first from the right in the artwork.)
CV: Casting Voice is due out in 2014. It is currently 30 percent complete.
An official Twitter account for the game has been opened here.
