TowerFall: Ascension announced for PlayStation 4

Ouya hit coming to PS4 with tons of new content.

TowerFall, or what many refer to as the best game on Ouya, is coming to PlayStation 4 as TowerFall: Ascension, Sony announced at Spike TV’s PS4 All Access launch event.

Speaking to Polygon, developer Matt Thorson said “it’s not a straight-up port.”

“There’s so much new stuff,” he said.

That stuff includes new weapons, characters, and maps for multiplayer, a quest mode for up to two players, and new stages unlocked via surprise animated sequences. There are over 50 new levels.

The game is due out in early 2014. Watch the reveal trailer below.
