Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will have an exclusive mission on PlayStation 4 and PS3, creator Hideo Kojima announced at tonight’s PS4 All Access launch event.
The “Deja Vu Mission” brings players back to the original Metal Gear Solid released on PlayStation in 1998. Players become the blocky pixelated polygon Classic Snake, and the past and present collide as the “characters and camera angles you remember from the 16-year old classic are brought to life” in high-def.
Outside the PlayStation announcement, Konami also confirmed release details for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in Japan.
On PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, the game will cost 2,980 yen at retail and 2,480 yen via download. On Xbox 360, the game will cost 2,980 yen at retail, but 2,600 yen via download. Xbox One version pricing was not announced, likely because the system won’t be out in Japan during the game’s release window.
At Amazon.co.jp, a limited edition including a special box, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker novelization, and Revoltech Yamaguchi Snake figure will cost 8,480 yen.
At Konami Style, a special game and figure set including a “PlayArts Snake Metallic Ver. With Accessories” will be available for 13,270 yen.
