Download PlayStation 4 software update 1.50 now
Save some time when you get the system on Friday.
PlayStation 4 system software version 1.50 is now available for download on the official PlayStation website.
Downloading it now will save you time updating your console when the system launches on Friday. To do so, follow these steps:
- Create a folder on your USB stick called “PS4”
- Create a folder within PS4 called “UPDATE”
- Place the update file within UPDATE
- Connect the USB to your system
- Boot up the system in safe mode (hold the power button for 7 seconds)
- Select “Update System Software”
- Follow the screens to complete the update
