Challenge the female titan in Attack on Titan 3DS

Latest trailer for Spike Chunsoft's upcoming 3DS game.

In Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind, you’ll play through the stories of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. But for a limited time after launch, players will also be able to download Levi’s story free of charge.

During Levi’s story, you’ll play as humanity’s strongest soldier. Together with his squad mates, you’ll encounter the female titan in the forest of giant trees.

In World Mode, you can develop weapons by collecting raw materials. You can also hire soldiers to fight with in battle, one of many game-original systems being added.

Before each mission, players can freely customize their equipment. The Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear and Plug-In Blades used for fighting titans have many variations, allowing players to choose that most suitable for each stage’s unique characteristics. It’s handy to have recovery items ready, as well.

There are two types of missions players can select in World Mode: “Normal Mission” and “Investigation Mission.” During normal missions, the number of Army Corps members increases every time you complete a mission. Once you reach a certain number of Corps members, new missions will become available. During investigation missions, your total number of group members decreases regardless of the mission’s outcome, but you can obtain valuable items instead.

As you complete missions, you might pick up a “Ring” during combat. This will allow you to become a titan for a fixed time. If you become a titan, you’ll become stronger, use punches and kicks to attack, and can stomp titans of smaller stature.

Alongside the new details released above, Spike Chunsoft also shared a new trailer. Watch it below. The game is due out for 3DS in Japan on December 5.
