The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds screenshots

Link steps up to the plate in the Octoball Derby.

Nintendo has released seven new screenshots of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, coming to 3DS on November 22 in North America and Europe.

The upcoming game is set in Hyrule, where a mysterious, wizardly figure named Yuga has been appearing throughout the land, transforming the kingdom’s seven sages into paintings and sending them off into another world. With Hyrule’s future at stake, Link must step into the unknown realm of Lorule, stop Yuga’s plans, and restore harmony to his home world.

Several mini-games will be unlocked as you play through the game. Treacherous Tower sees Link fight his way through a number of floors filled with different enemy types via three difficulty levels. Octoball Derby (pictured) is a baseball-inspired mini-game set in Lorule, where players can earn rupees by smashing pots and knocking down enemies on the the field.
