PlayStation 4 launch racer Driveclub may have been delayed to 2014.
Earlier today, a report from a website called The Same Coin cited an “anonymous source” in claiming Driveclub had been delayed from its November 15 release date.
While the site’s validity is uncertain, Kotaku is citing “a person familiar with goings-on at Sony” who claims The Same Coin’s report is true.
The website had the chance to ask Sony about the delay at a PlayStation 4 event in San Francisco today, where Driveclub was not present due to a “scheduling conflict.” A Sony rep said the company does not comment on rumors and speculation.
On Twitter, Driveclub design director Paul Rustchynsky said, “Unfortunately guys I don’t have any new information on Driveclub to share. I’ve been out if the office for a week looking after my newborn!”
It’s a concerning situation. Just yesterday, Watch Dogs, another next-gen launch title, was also delayed. But as always, don’t take this as fact until officially confirmed.
