PlayStation 3 firmware 4.50 launching this week [Update]

Auto download for all PlayStation Network users.

PlayStation 3 system software update version 4.50 will launch this week, Sony has confirmed.

The update will add the following changes:

  • Auto download of system software updates has been expanded to support all PlayStation Network users.
  • Auto download support of purchases made on the Web Store will be made available to all PlayStation Network users.
  • New options for trophy privacy settings allow users to set which trophies are visible.
  • Data can now be transferred from PlayStation 3 to PS Vita using Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection.
