Warframe a timed exclusive on PlayStation 4

Ninja shooter to appear elsewhere after three months.

Warframe, Digital Extremes‘ free-to-play ninja third-person shooter for PC, will launch for PlayStation 4 as a downloadable title on launch day, November 15. But it will only remain a PlayStation 4 console exclusive for a period of three months, creative director Steve Sinclair told IGN.

“With how the industry is evolving, this really is the Player Generation,” Sinclair said. “Games are reaching players hands in so many different ways now and Sony gets it, which is why we are bringing Warframe exclusively to the PS4 first. There’s no reason not to download Warframe on day one if you’re an action game lover – it’s free.”

Warframe has yet to be officially announced for Xbox One, but the developer expressed interest in publishing for the console back in July.
