Following its surprise location test last month, Atlus has lifted the lid on the Persona 4 Arena sequel Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold.

As previously announced, new fighters set to join the game include Persona 3‘s Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori. New from today’s announcement is a mysterious red-haired character named Sho Minazuki. All but his name and appearance are unknown.

Story-wise, the Investigation Team and Shadow Walkers are looking into the “wire puller,” who plotted the events of the first game. Then, the Midnight Channel is broadcast once again in Inaba. “An all out war has broken out!” President Teddie declares. The video is a preview of a tournament called P-1 Climax that is 200% more crazy than last time. Space time is distorted, people disappear, and Inaba is covered in a “red mist.” Then the Investigation Team seems Mitsuru and company crucified on the Midnight Channel. The Investigation Team works to resolve the entire issue and the Shadow Walker Emergency Rescue Team rushes to save Mitsuru and company.

The Ultimax is due out in Japanese arcades early winter. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases are also planned. Visit the game’s official website here. Watch the debut trailer below. View the first screenshots at the gallery.
