“Exciting” LittleBigPlanet announcement coming tomorrow [Update]

Sony is teasing an “exciting” LittleBigPlanet announcement for tomorrow.

“There’s no weekly LBP Update today,” an update on the official LittleBigPlanet Twitter reads, “but stay tuned to the @PlayStation Blog because we have an exciting announcement coming tomorrow instead!”

In February, it was rumored Sumo Digital, not series creator Media Molecule, is developing LittleBigPlanet 3 for a PlayStation 3 release in 2013. An animation studio resume that appeared in June supported the rumor. If it’s true, it’s about time we finally hear about it, no?

Update: Looks like the announcement is just news about a competition.

“We love each and everyone of you for your enthusiasm and passion for LBP but sadly we think you may of jumped the sack-gun on this occasion,” an update on the LittleBigPlanet Twitter reads.

It added, “We have some very cool news to share today about an awesome competition though!”
