Consumers who pre-order Dying Light will receive a player-versus-player gameplay mode called “Be the Zombie,” Warner Bros. has announced.
The mode will let you stalk other players as a night hunter—”a lethal predator with unique and deadly skills like superhuman speed, a tendril used to grapple around the game world, special charge and distance attacks, and more.” The hunter, who appears at night to prevent the destruction of zombie hives by killing humans, is an “extremely rare zombie mutation,” making him agile, fast, and dangerous. By playing as a night hunter, you’ll earn experience points, develop your character through its own special skill tree, and earn exclusive rewards and perks.
Pre-ordering the game is the only way to get “Be the Zombie” mode “at launch,” according to Warner Bros.
