Namco Bandai has trademarked three new Tales names in Japan.
- Tales of Zestoria
- Tales of Creales
- Tales of Catastora
Namco Bandai’s usual process for securing Tales game titles involves trademarking several false names, sometimes alongside a real one. Before Tales of Xillia was announced, Namco Bandai trademarked “Tales of Xillia,” “Tales of Zestia,” and “Tales of Faithus” all at once. A month before trademarking Tales of Graces, Namco Bandai trademarked “Tales of Floweria,” “Tales of Gracia,” and “Tales of Unitia.”
That said, one of these three names could be the name of the next mothership entry in the Tales series. Or none of them are. We’ll see when it’s announced.
The next entry in the Tales series is a high-def update of Tales of Symphonia and its sequel Dawn of the New World for PlayStation 3. The next mothership title is likely to follow (in Japan) next year.
