Insomniac announces Sunset Overdrive for Xbox One
From the creators of Ratchet & Clank and Resistance.
Microsoft and Insomniac Games are teaming up for Sunset Overdrive, a new Xbox One-exclusive “always-changing, open-world shooter set in the not so distant future.”
After a catastrophic event leaves your city overrun by mutants, it’s the player’s job to destroy them with an arsenal of “explosive, overpowered weapons” and the ability to traverse the city with “hyperagility.”
Insomniac boss Ted Price described the title as a “living world game” that you “could only do on Xbox One.” He described how every day could bring new challenges, new weapons, and various other elements thanks to the power of cloud computing.
A release date was not announced.
