Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Online, first launched on Wii, then on Wii U, is coming to PC in Japan.
The online Dragon Quest will launch or PC on September 26. Both the packaged and retail versions will cost 3,990 yen and include a 20-day free trial (save for Wii and Wii U players, who will instead get in-game items). A “Special Pack” edition, which includes a Dragon Quest edition Square Enix security token, Dragon Quest X game controller for PC, monster illustration book, world map, and a redeem code for an in-game item, will cost 9,800 yen.
Simultaneously with the announcement, Square Enix has kicked off a beta test. To participate, you should download the benchmark software available here. If your system can handle it, you’ll see a button to apply for the beta in the results screen. From there, you can download and install the game.
