Alvin Battle Showcase

Elize Battle Showcase

Tales of Xillia draws players into the grand adventures of Jude Mathis, a clever medical student attending school in the capital city, and Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four unseen beings. In a tale that can be experienced and played through either the perspective of Jude or Milla, the two heroes’ paths fatefully intertwine as they learn that the kingdom of Rashugal has been willfully experimenting with a powerful device that has effectively been draining the mana from the world. Faced with the realization that continued experiments would result in dangerous ramifications, Milla and Jude join forces to bring back peace and restoration to a dying world in a perilous journey that will test their courage and conviction.

Not only will Tales of Xillia fascinate players with a compelling and spectacular storyline, it will engage players with dynamic real-time battle system that the Tales of series is known for. Tales of Xillia will focus on cooperative tactics between characters in a Double Raid Linear Motion Battle System to allow players to deal devastating dual-character attacks and allow fans to strategize the best party setup for their preferred style of play.

  • OMG, Best Trailer ever and best news ever and best Collector’s edition Ever Ever.”

    • Ali

Best trailer? Hmm not quite my friend :) I think tatt goes to Deus Ex HR and/or Resident Evil: ORC Triple Impact trailer! Those were profound trailers!

  • DichaTesoro

How much will the collector’s edition be?…Might buy that, but I just REALLY want the game. August seems a long way off though.

    • Added prices. Sorry about that. Dealing with a bunch of Namdai stuff right now lol.

  • Fantasytales

Awesome…! im glad that the US is getting the collectors edition also since we didn’t get the Tales of Grace one. The figure will look nice next to my Milla ALTER figure the i got a month ago!!

  • Fantasytales

    Nice

  • 新阿修羅(ShinAsura)

No listing yet but with the statue price may break $100

I’m surprised though, they made a new Milla statue instead of using the one Alter released. It looks good though

    I probably have that theme

    • fireemblembeast

Actually, it isn’t new; it was there before the Alter one. As if they would make an entirely new one for us XD

      • 新阿修羅(ShinAsura)

  • Rafael Martines

I’m very sad because I’ll pass another Tales… your fault Namco :'(

    • 新阿修羅(ShinAsura)

      uh why

      • Rafael Martines

Because there is no japanese voices with english subtitles, and I know why, I heard a lot of explanations about it, but I want a product with japanese voices and english subtitles, so I won’t buy that as the same I did about Tales of Grace.

        • KingNigma

          What a shame…

    • fireemblembeast

      -.-lll ?

    • Tetsu

But the The “Milla Maxwell Collector’s Edition” includes the same content found in the U.S. collector’s edition, but only they get the exclusive costumes for Jude and Milla and a custom PlayStation 3 theme? W-why? It’s the same thing! :(
Oh well, really glad we get a LE version in US this time! And happy for EU to get it at about the same time! I’m definitey getting this, no matter what the price is! Take my money, Nambai! >:D
    Also, cool trailers :3

    • if you haven’t noticed it might be the same thing but it’s higher price by about 37 bucks! be glad!

      • fireemblembeast

Is it? Woah. I guess I’ll convert it next time. >_>

  • fireemblembeast

Now that we hear Milla in cutscenes, I like her voice a bit more. In battle it’s kinda eh.

  • Learii

    • Tetsu

  • Raiyu

    Day 1 for Collector’s Edition

Might just pre-order the game at Gamestop when I get the chance.

  • MrKappa

I can’t afford to be out 100 bucks… but I gotta get this anyways. :(
My wallet is gonna go from empty to a black hole.

  • Collector’s edition for me. This is going to be an expensive August to November with two new consoles and the mass of new games for both of them. I am going to be burnt out.

  • Chris

collectors edition hm…i hope gamestop is one of those retailers, if so, i can change my preorder.

  • AdamBoy64

I’ll try and pick one up on launch so I can add to launch sales, even though it’ll be a long time before I get around to playing it.
I think if I got the Collectors Edition I wouldn’t open it.
Having a European release date of August 9 is fantastic news.

  • I’m so getting the Collector’s Edition. Thank god it isn’t exclusive to the Namco Bandai store like the Wizard Edition… Oh wait, I better not jinx it.

Please, never again Namco-Bandai. Never. Ever. Ever. Again. Never. I mean it, never even consider it. Thanks. =)

    • PrinceHeir

      same :D

unfortunately, there’s too many games for me(haven ‘t even played Ni No Kuni that much) so im still thinking if i should get it :)

      finally Namco getting some sense!!!

      • I haven’t bought Ni no kuni yet. Not sure when I will even pick it up. I agree though, so many games coming out from May-August alone this year. Looks like it’s going to be pretty crazy this year too.

        • you guys are missing out! Get ni no kuni NOW! It’s amazing to say the least

          • I know its amazing. I’m avoiding it for now, since I was one of those people that got screwed over on the wizard edition.

I’ll try to make this story short.

I Pre-Ordered it the first day they put it up on the NB store, didn’t get my copy when release date rolled around. I got an email saying to call this number after nearly a week of nothing, the email said I still had a chance to get my wizard edition. I called and the guy told me what the email said was not true, and signed me up to receive a free guide for the game, along with some kind of coupon for the NB store.

In the end, I never got the coupon, but I have the guide. The thing is, I was one of the people that helped get content added to the Wizard edition, I had it paid off way in advance. Yeah, I’m still sour about it all. I really wanted it, the entire thing took the joy of getting the game out of it for me. It’s just going to take a while…

I’m guessing you know all about the Wizard Edition thing.

I’m not going to go into full detail about this, since you likely already know about it. If not, you can read about most of it via the links below.

yeah i can see why Zero is not in rush to buy the game.

heck i was about to give up and just wait for a price drop, when the Wizard’s Edition just came out of nowhere.

such a fucked up decision Namco did last march

  • It is about time i was waiting for this CE now ill pre-order it XD

  • DrForbidden

That Milla figurine looks really well made. The price of the set is really steep, though.

  • The Milla Maxwell Collector’s Edition it is then…

Is it just me or is Namco Bandai feeling generous lately?

    • they know how to make us throw our money at them, that’s all

    • DrForbidden

      Hmm. Generous? o_0

It’s $100 for a game, small artbook, a CD, and a figurine. It’s not ridiculously overpriced like the Borderlands 2 Diamond Loot Chest, but I don’t see how it’s ‘generous’ when stuff like the artbook and CD are routinely given out by other companies for free or for a lot less.

      • By generous, I mean Namco Bandai has been bring games like Project X Zone, Dark Souls 2, Naruto ultimate Storm 3, etc out of Japan lately… Not only that, they gone ahead and made collector’s editions for Tales of Xillia even though they don’t have to….

The Namco Bandai of today is not like the Namco Bandai of the past…

        • DrForbidden

Oh, I see. I understand what you mean now… :)

  • I don’t care much for artbooks, but I want that figure! Looks amazing I’m definitely getting this

  • I don’t care much for artbooks, but I want that figure! Looks amazing I’m definitely getting this

  • Up close of the figure, not the best quality

  • Adurna012

I didn’t even need to read the article. All I saw was the title, and the first thing I thought was “I’m buying that.”

  • Elvick

Can’t even find a way to preorder it yet in Canada. Bleh.

  • Astrid Huang

Where to preorder that D1 edition in asia?

I already have Alter Milla figure, it’s way better than that figure in the CE edition, so I think I’ll pass on the Milla Maxwell CE edition. But I’m so eager to get that D1 edition.

  • artemisthemp

Though I only would have Saints Row 4 in August, but looks like I gonna play Tales of Xillia – Hopefully I can find a place for my Millia statue

  • Archvile

You, i’m kinda annoyed. I badly wanted this CE but for some unknown reason, ebgames Canada does not have the CE up for preorder. Ofc we usually get 90% of the CE for other games but NOPE not for my favorite JRPG serie. |:

Ah well, sucks but i’ll live with it.

  • Lelouch Vi Britannia

Just upgraded to Collectors Edition today

  • DarthBrian

Is the collector’s edition still only available at GameStop? I can’t find it anywhere else. >_<
