  • Would love to play this game in English version.

Xceed should just ditch all of PSP versions and be focusing on the PS3 versions instead, because realistically speaking, those simply have much better chances of selling. And Heaven, how long have they been stuck on the second game?

Not really… The series lacks western appeal to compensate the localization costs

Business wise yes however we are gamers, alot of people tend to forget that. We gamers demand and pay we shouldn’t act and think what is good or bad for the companies.

Take Tales Of Graces F, Namco never knew there was enough fanbase for tales of games untill facebook came out, sure there used to be some tales of games before but they ditched it, now time passed and suddenly they get spams on emails, twitter and facebook that we want Tales of games outside of japan.

Ys has way less fans but it grows and who knows maybe there are enough fans already in the us/eu combined, or there is another option, they should only translate the games text and not hire anyone for the voices, just use japanese.

Im sure there are ways to bring games like this outside of Japan with very little profit but nobody cares unless the profit is high.

But the Kiseki games are just too much.

Tales of Graces f script size is nowhere near Trails FC, let alone SC. And, of course, Graces f had Voice Acting and a action based battle system (Turn Based RPG’s are a niche nowadays. All the developers want to make nowadays are Action ones or some shitty hybrid type) which does appeal more to westerns.

How does anyone know if it “lacks western appeal” when the series hasn’t really been given a fair shot? I’m not sure you can really judge demand for PS3 releases of these games just based on sales of a PSP game released well after that system’s prime.

I’d rather play them on a handheld, but if it meant getting them all I’d settle for the PS3 versions.

There’s no reason to ditch, if you translate the PS3 version you’ve translated the PSP version. Problem is the cost to translate/localize these games for a small shop like XSEED. If it was being done by someone just a little bigger or even if it was being Co-published, that’d be enough. PC versions would probably settle it too but if they don’t want to lose the franchises momentum they’d be better off accepting two different platforms for money and catching up to Sen no Kiseki as quickly as possible.

      i agree :D

or Vita if they make one!

Xseed should just consider localizing the PS3 or Windows version. The first game a lot of help from the fan localization. Xseed should ask them for help.

  • Wow that guy in the picture looks a helluva lot like Vash the Stampede.

  • Ace

Gawd, the first TITS game was good; hope this cums out to the west

  • Himiko

    your move, XSEED.

  • HarryHodd

So now there all on the PS3? XSEED!!
