Hack-n-slash zombie game coming to PlayStation 3?

Play-Asia is listing an Asian region PlayStation 3 version of Onechanbara Z: Kagura to be released in June.

The game, which stars zombie-killing half-vampire sisters Kagura and Saya, first launched for Xbox 360 last January in Japan. A PlayStation 3 port has not been announced.

Thanks, Game Jouhou.

im still waiting for No More Heroes Paradise 2 Marvelous!!!

this is one of the few games back then i wanted from Xbox 360, along with SHUMP games.

guess SHUMP games are the only ones that need to be on PS3!!!

well with Cave announcing Ketsui for PS3, i wouldn’t be surprise to see more SHUMP games on PS3!!

gonna buy the asian version for sure!!!!!!

    don’t let me down D3!!!!

thanks for the awesome morning news Sal!!

    • DarthBrian

And I thought *I* was excited about this news. :p

      • PrinceHeir

lol we’re both the same :)

        love Onechanbara!!!

always love this quirky games, that we rarely see nowadays!

    • Skeletor

      Under defeat?
      Soldner X?
      Soldner X2?
      Rtype Delta?
      A shooter for $2?
      Sine Mora?

      Nah. No shmups on PS3!

      • Magis

Under Defeat HD was released for 360 first – G.rev ported it to PS3 for a quick cash-grab, which failed, because the audience simply is not there.

Soldner X and X2 are PC games. They’re also pretty bad.

Rtypes and Delta are PS1 games, not PS2 games.

Sine Mora was originally for XBLA ans is also comically bad.

You’re going to have to try harder, You have a bunch of random, bottom of the barrel ports that no one wants. The PS3 does not have shmups.

        • Skeletor

Your MS check will be ready for pick up in the Seattle HQ Office shortly.

Be sure to let Mrs. Pat at the front desk know I sent you.

          Have a great day.

          • While I don’t know if I can agree with Magis’ reviews for each game (I’m not a shmup fan, thus have never played them), there are generally many more shmups on Xbox 360 than on PlayStation 3. Here are some lists for comparison:

Also, let’s try to avoid comments like yours above. They’re arrogant, assumptive, and frankly, annoying. You could instead have explained why the shmups you mentioned were good ones.

            • Skeletor

Skeletor would rather send Hordak and his minions to educate Magis on the values of Playstation.

I never denied that the 360 has more shmups. But to blow off all the available representations of a genre simply b/c more are represented on another platform is far more annoying and arrogant and truly doesnt deserve a real response.

The bias was crystal clear and no amount of reasoning will change his opinions.
You can’t reason with someonewho is unreasonable.

And with that…..I hand this situation over to Hordak.
              You know what to do!

        • LordKaiser

Soldner X2 was good. The only problem it had was the unbalance on the chips making Mexxus II too powerful and the Thor ship useless.

  • Guest

wishing this game has a girl showroom

    • DrForbidden

      It does.

  • châu nguyễn

Damn it why not Vita ?

    • Bloodios

Because it’ll probably perform horribly, given how horrible the performance was on the Xbox 360 (which happens to be the platform that these devs are most familiar with.)

      • DrForbidden

Ehh, dude. You shouldn’t generalise performance based on a sample size of one… though I admit my own experience is also a sample of one.

        • Bloodios

Either way, I seriously can’t see this game running well on the Vita. Sure, if they crank everything all the way up then yeah, but that would drain the Vita within minutes >__<

          • DrForbidden

            That’s probably true, I agree.

  • DarthBrian

I will import at a high price if necessary. O_O

  • Learii

BOO YA!!! i hope ps3 version come to the west

  • Bloodios

This time, they might want to consider locking the frame-rate down to 30fps but keep the V-sync disabled, or even go single-buffered (lol) if they’re worry about latency. I’ve had enough of seeing that plethora of screen-tearing while still having the frame rate fluctuating madly between 60 and 30… The babes are hot but I’ve had enough vomiting from looking at my friend playing the game. The performance was absolutely nausea-inducing…

    • DrForbidden

Might be your friend’s X360? I didn’t have any issues near that bad with my game. It ran relatively smoothly, though not without the occasional screen-tearing and rare slowdown.

      • Bloodios

So, suppose it’s a hardware problem, can you provide any form of advice that might perhaps help improve the situation then? I mean, my friend seemed unaffected… but it was unbearable for me. Admittedly, from my experience, the frame rate only fluctuates when hordes of enemies come pouring out at every corner, but screen-tearing was more or less a constant sight.

        • DrForbidden

Well, I have no idea what could be done, since consoles are closed platforms. My X360 is a relatively new NTSC-J model, so perhaps that makes the difference. I also install all my X360 games to the HDD.

          • Bloodios

Yeah, I believe he once said that he was an early adopter, but I’m not sure if that applies to his NA console or the JP one… EIther way, it must be freaking old. (Just how in the world did his system survive the widespread of the RRoD? Well, I suppose I shouldn’t talk since my 60GB PS3 still functioning just fine.)

            • DrForbidden

You guys are lucky. I live in the tropics with average temperature of 30C and average humidity of 70-80% all year round. I’m on my third PS3…

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Ah Mah gaaah so freakin happy

  • Skeletor

    Too little too late.

I dont buy 360 timed exclusive ported leftovers.

    • LordKaiser

Plus there’s better games coming up for you to buy.

      • Skeletor

        Absolutely true.

  • LordKaiser

I was mildly interested till i saw D3P involvement.

    • DrForbidden

      D3P owns the Onechanbara fanchise.

      • LordKaiser

Well I guess I will never buy a Onechanbara game.

  • kairock

best news of the day. hope its true. was bummed since it was for x360 only last year.
