New Mega Man game in development [Update: “ongoing discussions”]
But it's "not ready" for a full announcement.Update: A new Mega Man game has not been confirmed, Capcom has clarified to Joystiq. The company is having “ongoing discussions about Mega Man,” but “won’t announce anything until something is ready.”
Original: Capcom is developing a new Mega Man game, it has confirmed during its “World of Capcom” panel at PAX East in Boston, according to Joystiq.
But the game is “not ready” for a full announcement yet, according to Capcom community manager Brett Elston. It’s coming, though.
This should come as welcome news to the Mega Man fanbase, who in the past two years withstood the cancellations of Mega Man Legends 3, Mega Man Universe, and more recently, Mega Man Online.
In other Mega Man-related news, Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 5 are coming to the 3DS eShop on April 25 and May 16, respectively. Capcom is also planning to release a special light-up figure in commemoration of the series’ 25th anniversary this year.
