Why’d Muramasa on Vita score 2 points lower than the Wii release?

    • Skerj

That’s what I’d like to know. PSO2 is lower than I thought it’d be too. No worries though, I love them both.

    • Because the plus content exclusive to the Vita is only DLC…

  • Wow…did Microsoft pay them for that GoW review? Japan usually seems to hate those games by default…and this time around the game is getting some pretty poor reviews in the US so it’s a huge surprise to me to see them rate it so high

    • Haku_Luvs_You

I thought Japan loved Gears. If I remember correctly Gears 3 almost got a perfect score from Famitsu.

Edit: Here Famitsu gave Gears a 39/40 http://andriasang.com/comya7/

    • AnimusVox

I wouldn’t trust Famitsu to be blatantly honest. I’ve noticed they’ve given high to perfect marks for quite a few games that would make some or many go ‘What…’

      • Bobby Jennings

Well it’s an opinion. Someone might truly love a game that someone else doesn’t.

        • Help! Patchy is choking!

        • AnimusVox

True words, it just semms like Famitsu has been giving high marks on so/too many games lately. It’s equivalent to the Nobel Peace prize, they seem to give that to anyone now. Ok, not exactly like the Nobel Peace prize but that’s the best sort of metaphor I could compare it to.

    • DrForbidden

      Famitsu reviewers gave GoW 37/40, GoW2 38/40, and GoW3 39/40. 39/40 for GoW:J is not surprising.

    • Kanok Timkhlai

I think Square Enix might to pay them for Final Fantasy 13 review too. But it’s not like that.

  • Eclipse

Huh? Fate/Extra CCC got the exact same score as the first game… that’s a bit surprising. I thought it would’ve benefited from all of the added improvements, but I’ll find out for myself when the game is released.

    • DrForbidden

I’d really be interested in hearing your opinion on it.

      • Eclipse

Sure, once I get my hands on the game, I’ll give you my opinion on it. It’ll be a while before I play it though, my backlog is around 60+ games, lol. I’m also a bit biased when it comes to TYPE-MOON. XD

  • DrForbidden

Woah. Mediocre score for Muramasa: Rebirth and poor score for Fate/Extra CCC. Unfortunately we don’t know why these scores were given. I’m rethinking buying F/E CCC now…

    • Kefkiroth

I think 32/40 makes it look really low… if you look at it as just “all 8’s” it doesn’t seem too bad. Considering Famitsu usually scoring pretty high, guess it could be seen as mediocre too, though.

  • PrinceHeir

what the hell happened to Muramasa and Phantasy Star Online 2 O____O

    i want some explanations!!!!

    • Elvick

I’m thinking part of it (for Muramasa) might be that the bulk of new content, is DLC. Pretty lame when every other port to Vita (not sure about Do5+ though) has had all the extra content included. Which actually, from a content standpoint, has made the Vita version better.

Not sure about PSO2. Looks great from a video I saw of someone playing through some of the game on Vita. It does have more limitations though, so maybe that’s why. Those things don’t bother me though.

      • PrinceHeir

wait so the new content is not even available on the box and you have to pay for it O___O

i think PSO2 could have some framerate or lag issuses :

    • Solomon_Kano

      All 8s is low?

      • DrForbidden

For Famitsu, all 8s is mediocre. Their reviewers almost never give scores below 5 (probably because even the worst games took somebody’s time and sweat to make), so an 8 would be like the upper bound of ‘average’.

        • Solomon_Kano

          Ah. Ok.

  • almostautumn

So happy to see Holy Sorcery Story did so well. That’s the last game I’m picking up for some months, and it’s probably my most anticipated of all Vita releases so far!

  • almostautumn

Did anyone else check out the Pretty Cure All Stars trailer? That game looks friggin’ awesome (if you’re into music/dance games)!!

I remember seeing that on Play-Asia ages ago, but I wasn’t sure what type of game it would be. I actually might pick that up; really wish I could read the actual fami review though; if it’s because the motion controls don’t work, then it’s not worth it…

*pours one out for Haruhi Suzumiya— it should have been awesome, da*n it!*
