The announcement of PlayStation 4 has come and gone, and rumors of The Last Guardian‘s switch to Sony’s next-gen console are still unconfirmed.
Asked if the game was still a PlayStation 3 title after last night’s PlayStation 4 reveal during a roundtable media session today (via GameSpot), Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said, “I’m not ready to talk about it. Sorry. Because we’ve broken promises [before], we are waiting for the right time to reintroduce The Last Guardian.”
And what about Rockstar’s Agent, announced at E3 2009 and never heard from since, or Square Enix‘s Final Fantasy Versus XIII, announced at E3 2006 and last heard from in January 2011? (Though, Square Enix confirmed production was still ongoing in July last year.)
“You are asking the wrong person,” said Yoshida. “I have some knowledge, but I’m not in a position to talk about it.”
Was no one able to track down Shinji Hashimoto last night?!
