Haven map and Execution mode detailed.

Maxim magazine is sponsoring two free downloadable add-ons for Gears of War: Judgment, set to launch two weeks after the game’s March 19 release on April 2.

The content includes a new map—the snowy, Azura mountains-set monastery called Haven—and a new multiplayer mode called Executioner, where two teams compete for kills, but can only die with a one-shot kill weapon. Otherwise, they’ll bleed out, but revive when their timer ends. To combat this, you’ll have to execute them before they revive.

Again, both add-ons will be available free of charge on April 2.

  • Wow, that’s tacky.

  • Hmmm… remember that Mega64 bit with Grand Turismo and GTA?… I smell it … Kojima is also all over this type of stuff. This is a risky move.. our games might soon be unplayable do to the amount of advertisement on screen. Devs need to grow some guts and learn to take chances why is it that they are so scared?
    Shame shame.. for shame.
