Spiders‘ 2009-announced PlayStation 3 and PC title Mars has resurfaced today under the publishing of Focus Home Interactive as Mars: War Logs for PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and PC.
The game follows the story of Roy “Temperance,” the game’s hero, who is caught in the crossfire of a battle between the Technomancers, who have taken the Mars city of Shadowlair, Aurora under siege, and the civilians that resist them. With the war for water over, Roy will have to choose a side and fight once again.
A “cyberpunk RPG” set on Mars, Mars: War Logs will allow players to develop Roy’s statistics and combat style from “dozens” of skills and perks, such as “pure combat, stealth, and trickery,” and the “fierce Technomancer powers.” The game’s battle system is real-time and requires “both reflexes and tactics.” A crafting sysem will enable players to create and modify their equipment. And dialogue choices will allow players to influence Roy’s fianl destiny.
