Two Brothers, Ackkstudios’ Kickstarter-funded action, adventure, role-playing, and nostalgia game for PC, Xbox 360, and OSX, will see release on the Wii U eShop in 2013, NES is reporting.
Ackkstudios, which just became a licensed Wii U developer, is currently in the early stages of porting the game.
The largely one color game, a love letter to the Gameboy era of games, tells the tale of young inventor Roy Guarder, who is obsessed with the idea of finding a new color on earth after a near death experience reveals to him an afterlife of color.
Additionally, Ackkstudios has a second RPG, this one an “ambitious modern 3D RPG” with visuals influenced by games like Earthbound and The World Ends With You, which it plans to reveal at PAX East in March 2013. Wii U is being strongly considered for its platform, though final system(s) have not been decided.
