Due November 18 for Wii U with new features.

Nintendo has released new screenshots of its upcoming Wii U enhanced port Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge.

Due launch day (November 18) for Wii U, features exclusive to Razor’s Edge include:

  • Ayane as a playable character: In previous versions of the game, Ayane appeared only briefly in one cut scene. Now players can help her progress through her own exclusive chapters using a special set of weapons and Ninpo attacks.
  • Character-progression system: Using Karma points earned during game play, players can upgrade weapons and Ninpo, learn new moves, increase their HP level and unlock new character costumes.
  • Ryu and Ayane playable in co-op mode: For the first time, players can use Ryu or Ayane to represent themselves in the game’s online co-op mode.
  • Test of Valor battle areas: Each chapter includes a hidden battle area called Test of Valor. Upon finding hidden Crystal Skulls, players will be transported to these areas to face down waves of enemies and classic Ninja Gaiden boss characters with new moves.
  • Wii U GamePad Functionality: Using the Wii U GamePad, players can easily change weapons or Ninpo attacks, and also quickly reference the button inputs required for various combo attacks without ever stopping the action.
  • Additional Playable Characters: After the launch of the game, additional playable characters will become available as free downloadable content. More information about these characters will be revealed at a later time.
  • More Tenacious Enemies: The Wii U version of the game restores enemies’ ability to fight when severely wounded, requiring players to stay nimble with their battle strategies.

  • I don’t know how I feel about this, it’s like the biggest middle finger to people that actually bought the game… and I doubt they will release this game to the PS360

    • 浪黒雷 (ro-kurorai)

As it states “published by Nintendo” at the end of the trailer I doubt any other system will receive the enhancements. But then again, the original Ninja Gaiden 2 (Sigma 2 on PS3) was also published by MS and later re-released on PS3 in an enhanced, albeit way less gory, version.

I understand your pain. It really is unfair.

    • Souji Tendou

I dunno. I think I can smell Ninja Gaiden Sigma 3 coming from miles away. :p

  • Kasumi plz!!!

    • PrinceHeir

yeah especially from Ninja Gaiden 2/Sigma 2

where they hinted kasumi to return, especially at the end

i was actually surprise on how Ninja Gaiden 3 didn’t expand this more.

and branch out to a new story.

they did however continued 2/Sigma 2 where hints from the spider clan etc.

then again Masato Kato wrote the story of the original trilogy(NOT the 3D Games) so it’s alot different from the first two 3D games.

still i was also hoping they would use Ayane’s model from Sigma 2(the biggest BOOSOMS in all games) for DOA5.

very surprise however NG3 Razor’s edge is using the model from Sigma 2 instead of using the DOA5 model.

man i wonder what NG3 would look like if Itagaki was the one headed by it(he did however have some planning stages for NG3)

      • I only beaten Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1, so I don’t know about the story but I love DOA5’s Kasumi model and her black leather costume. So I hope she’ll be playable in Ninja Gaiden 3 WiiU with black leather costume :D

        • PrinceHeir

yes DOA5 Black Leather costume would be godly!!!!!!!!

  • With all due respect if you bought NG3 you deserve to be screwed over. People shouldn’t buy crappy games just because they’re part of an otherwise decent series.

Also I think this port is getting more credit than it deserves. It’s a step up from NG3 but it’s still not doing anything new. Hayashi just can’t compare to Itagaki

    • Sovereign Gale

Nobody DESERVES to be screwed over just because they bought a game that you don’t like. Come on, now. Slipping in a “with all due respect” before making a disrespectful claim doesn’t make much sense either, but that’s just nitpicking.

  • As a huge NG fan but someone who skipped NG3, I’m really excited to get this on launch day. It pays to wait sometimes.

  • KingOptimusOrigins111

Wii U is not next gen in my opinion but it does have good launch line up.

Should put Hayate and Kasumi in as well as playable characters. And bring in Sega’s Shinobi (PS2 Hotsuma) so we can finally have Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja
