Mercenary Kings coming to Ouya

Mercernary Kings, a new Kickstarter-funded 2D action project from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game developer Tribute Games, will come to Ouya following its PC release, the studio has confirmed.

The game aims to combine “precise platforming action” with a “compelling [weapon] crafting system,” enabling players to gather materials dropped by enemies to craft their weapon of choice. “The possibilities are nearly endless,” according to the dev. The game will also feature local four-player co-op play.

All backers of the project who’ve pledged $15 or more will receive an Ouya download code in addition to Steam download code come both versions’ release dates. (The former being only if download codes are supported on Ouya, which, according to founder Julie Uhrman, is being planned.)
