When Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was first announced as Metal Gear Solid: Rising, a PC version was planned alongside its console counterparts. But when it was re-revealed at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards last year, it dropped the non-console platform. However, a PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance could still see the light of day, after the console versions launch, that is.
“Right now, honestly, we are doing our best to complete at the same time the PlayStation 3 version and the Xbox 360 version,” creative producer Yuji Korekado told Eurogamer at Gamescom. “For the PC version, we will contemplate making it or not once we reach this goal of completing the PS3 and 360 versions.”
He continued: “One question from us is, a lot of users, especially from Europe, have asked us for a PC version. Is it something really that in demand for the European market?”
After a “resounding yes” from Eurogamer, Korekado added: “Then, with that in consideration, we will try to look forward in this direction.” However, if a PC version were to launch, it would follow the console versions’ February 2013 release, he concluded.
