Hideo Kojima announced Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes this morning – the first game to run on his studio’s new FOX Engine. And he’s bringing said engine to the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, which kicks off tomorrow.
“Everyone in America, we will meet in Seattle. I’m bringing FOX to PAX,” he said in on Twitter.
“FOX and XOF,” he said in an earlier tweet, attaching the following image.
The top cutout is Ground Zeroes‘ only officially shared media, as of yet. Specifically, it’s the version featured on the FOX Engine teaser site – flip it and you’ll get the phrase: “From Fox, two phantoms were born.” The bottom cutout, however, on which we can see the word “Snake,” looks to be entirely new.
Kojima will be featured in a panel on Saturday, where he will discuss the past, present, and future of the Metal Gear series. If we’re going to hear about anything, I’d expect it then.
