Overstrike returning with a new name?

Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price announced a new intellectual property called Fuse during his Penny Arcade Expo keynote in Seattle today.

The publisher shared a single screenshot (above) of the new IP. An 11-day countdown teaser site is available at FuseGame.com. Above the timer, to the right, the text “Overstrike Data Node” can be seen.

Given the word Overstrike’s appearance on the site, as well the game’s similar visual style to Overstrike, Insomniac’s E3 2011-announced EA Partners project, it’s a fair guess that Fuse is actually Overstrike with a new name.
