Nintendo has officially announced Pikmin 3 for Wii U during its E3 press conference this morning.
Like previous entries, Pikmin 3 boasts real-time action management, where little Pikmin creatures, including a new Rock Pikmin who can throw rocks at enemies, will scavenge materials, build bridges, and move forward. The game can be played on both a standard controller and the Wii U Gamepad, when played on which, displays a map, which Shigeru Miyamoto says adds a lot of strategy.
A lengthy gameplay demo was shown. It’s an all-new Pikmin, according to Miyamoto, and is playable on the E3 show floor.
