Due this October, according to retailer.

Spanish retailer is listing a Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi HD Collection for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (complete with box art).

The game was given an October 12 release date by the retailer.

Namco Bandai has yet to confirm any such collection, though these retailer leaks usually signal a forthcoming announcement. Back in June last year, the site was the first to list the Devil May Cry HD Collection, months before its official announcement.

Thanks, NeoGAF.

    Hope its true.
My friend and I used to play this along few years ago.
    Loved it.

Oh btw how about .hack//GU collection :D
.hack quadrilogy’s graphic might be to outdated to remaster but if it can be done its awesome too.

    • howardmoonish

@RyoonZ: oh hell yes I want a .hack collection.

Never once saw the appeal of DBZ. As a game or anime.

Just a bunch of angry kids floating in the sky staring at each other making sounds usually reserved for a war being your sphincter and the toilet bowl.

    Waste of a disc imo.

    • Locksus

      @Malcolm Reynolds:
Agreed. I can see why it appeals to children but I don’t much care for it.

    • xMCXx

      @Malcolm Reynolds:
You did not watch DBZ as a kid? Either you are fucking old or had no childhood.

      Seriously, shit’s cult.

      • rockman29

@xMCXx: In all honesty, DBZ is more like stepping stone to other actually interesting anime series. DBZ is all good and fun, until you get to the age of 10 or so and realize it’s a festival of nothing [but constipation].

It gets most of the credit it deserves: mindless fun, and colourful art, but there’s barely any other point to it.

I enjoyed it as much as most people can and that was as a kid.

        • xMCXx

Well yeah, it is for kids. And I enjoyed it as one.

          • rockman29

@xMCXx: I said I enjoyed it too. What’s your point?

  • stealth20k

the third tenkaichi is soooo good

  • stealth20k

an rpg collection would never happen

  • captainhowdy

Hopefully this will have online support.

  • xMCXx

Tenka’ichi 3 is one of the best DB games ever, but what do I want with 1 and 2 then?

  • rockman29

Never liked this game, felt just like a button masher with two characters, that’s no fun at all lol.

Maybe if it had some more strategy, or something. Either way didn’t really click with me for whatever reason, horrible series imo.

    • xMCXx

It’s Dragonball. It’s all about big-ass beams and kicking your opponent through mountains.
      Simple fun.

      • rockman29

@xMCXx: Dude, no need to get your panties in a bunch.

I said I liked DBZ when I was a kid too. What more do you want?

Thanks for the DBZ 101, but just put the attitude away next time.

        • KingKelloggTheWaffleHaggler

@rockman29: There was no attitude, and those games were actually pretty deep if you got good at them.

        • xMCXx

I know it’s hard to see how comments are intended to be read on the Internet, but I assure you, there was no attitude.

  • Malcolm Reynolds

@xMCXx: no. Tried once. Thought it was shite.

I did however watch Voltron, Mazinger Z, Robotech, Transformers, Thunder Cats, TMNT, etc.

Not everyone has to like your soap opera.

  • RoboShinKen

Sweet! i hope this is true. Insta-buy for me!

  • go-go-boy

are you people seriously on here dissing DBZ!!!! wow man i grew up on this very anime it self before i even knew anime had a name and i am being serious.the thing i loved about this anime was that it didn’t take two seasons to find out who was behind some damn diabolical plot which is what i liked about it was great series to grow up on. i remember me and my friends would have a binder full of printed dragon ball z pictures and we would trade them with each other and other students around school man talk about memory lane you people who are dissing this had a garbage childhood or just had no idea of a fun imagination.

  • vertical09

@Malcolm Reynolds: At least in the game you dont have to wait 2 episodes for them to fight for 2 minutes The step back and talk for another 2 episodes =P

  • LordKaiser

I love Dragon Ball Z. It’s the series that motivates me to lift weights. When I was in mid school there was a video rental who used to rent pirated anime when most people din’t had PC and even less a dial-Up connection. I loved it’s violent content and how much damaged every1 could endure. But as a game… IDK…

  • Rikudo-Pein

Who the hell would want all 3 Tenkaichi’s? Tenkaichi 3’s basically 1 + 2 with more characters and stages. I think I’ll wait for them to be released seperately, if they ever are.

  • KingKelloggTheWaffleHaggler

I want all the tenkaichis Sooo bad =D

  • Skelter

BAAALLS TO THIS!……..I would’ve taken budokai 1,2,3 in an HD collection with open arms…..why give us tenkaichi if we already had Raging Blast 1 and 2 along with Ultimate on consoles? tenkaichi is good yes…….but it wasn’t MISSED since its combat system was used in RB1,RB2 and UT……but the first three budokai’s were definitely more deserving of this :/ ……Rant End

    • KingKelloggTheWaffleHaggler

@Skelter: Rb was barel anything like Tenk!!

    • Cody

Well here is the thing, Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi did in fact NOT use the same fighting mechanics as BT1-3, it was a completely new stylized gaming mechanic that sucked series ballage. It was a freaking rock-paper-scissors like style. And it took no skill to play that game what so ever. I picked it up and already went undefeated for 13 straight matches online against the “ranked” players because the system of fighting mechanics is just that boring and broken. The only thing good it had going was the character customization and the freaking epic huge boss battles.

  • Malcolm Reynolds

    What we’ve learned today:

If you didnt grow up loving DBZ you obviosly had a garbage childhood.

    LMAO at the internet.

  • TheViper4Life

I’m 26 years old and STILL watch DBZ (DB and GT as well)…it’s still one of the greatest shows ever made. And BT3 was one of the greatest fighting games ever made…I can’t wait to get this collection.

And for those asking why have BT1 and 2? Trophies. That’s the only reason I’m going to replay them.

  • Should have gt Vegeta gt Gohan
