Following last night’s confirmation, XSEED Games officially announced this morning that it’s bringing Ragnarok Odyssey, GungHo Online Entertainment and Game Arts‘ PlayStation Vita action RPG, to North America.
“Ragnarok Odyssey is an amazing game that players have recognized through its position as one of the best-selling PS Vita titles in Japan,” said Ken Berry, Executive Vice President of XSEED Games. “To be able to offer this game, which has been the most requested title by our fans for some time now, is very rewarding and speaks to the level of quality we are committed to delivering to the players.”
Set in the Ragnarok Online universe, the game is a fast-paced action RPG with a large focus on “extremely versatile” melee combat. Players will customize their own human avatar and choose from up to six job classes, and take against giant creatures in a battle following the death of the world’s ancient gods. As players progress, new areas in the game world will become available. You’ll have the option of playing solo, or up to four players in ad-hoc and online co-op gameplay.
