This week’s Famitsu revealed an all-new Hatsune Miku for PlayStation 3 and Vita.
Due this summer for PlayStation Vita and next year for PlayStation 3, Next Hatsune Miku Project DIVA, as it’s tentatively titled, will include new elements.
The game is in development by the team that created the Hatsune Miku arcade and PSP games. Series producer Seiji Hayashi is in the producer’s seat.
Specific to the Vita version, the game will include “scratch” touch controls and a new technical element where players are awarded bonus points for connecting combos within a certain amount of time.
Seven Vocaloids were shown in Famitsu: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, Kaito, and Meiko. Songs mentioned include Doriko’s “Cat Food,” Nezuki’s “Pieretta,” and Wowaka’s “World End Dance Hall.” Modules, which can be compared to costumes, include Hatsune Miku Emerald and Megurine Luka Ruby.
The PlayStation Vita version of the game will be playable by the public at the Nico Nico Cokaigi event at the Makuhari Messe on March 29. More information on its showing will be posted here tomorrow. More information on the game should be available soon, as Sega is planning to launch the game’s official site here.
Thanks, Sinobi.
