Retailer mentions October 24 release date.

Amazon has revealed the North American box art for Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, Chunsoft’s latest adventure title for 3DS and PlayStation Vita.

The online retailer also mentions an October 24 release date. Though, considering Aksys has yet to date the game officially, don’t take the Amazon date as anything concrete, just yet.

Never even heard of it. If there were previous articles about this game I guess I passed them by.

I never played 999 , so I’ll put this game on my Vita’s list, after what I saw in Corpse Party, I became somehow interested in games that have “visual novel” feeling

@ayman: I highly recommend you pick up 999 for the Nintendo DS. You won’t be disappointed.

@ayman: Ace Attorney. google it now! It’s imho my favorite visual novel like game.

I’ve beat this in Japanese, and the original (9 persons, 9 hours, 9 doors) in English. If you like puzzles, this is an amazing series. The story is amazing in them, too.

Wow, finally, multiplatform handheld games. That’s good.

To all the people who either haven’t played 999, or don’t know what this game is about, I have a couple of things to tell you:

    a) Just do it, no excuses, you’ll thank me afterwards. It’s a game that will definitely be with you for a long time after you play it, there is no adventure game like it.

    b) This sequel is awesome, so get it and spread the word.

    c) If you want to know what this game is all about, then…watch this Official trailer, and if you’re interested, the 12min Promo anime. The promo anime does a great job at portraying what the game does feel like, but you’re better off playing the original.

@FaithlessMr: I started playing 999 a few weeks back. But i play really slow since I’m really busy (with Graces F lol). The story’s been good so far, and am hoping to get the best ending somehow. Though i doubt it since I’ve been fooling around with the choices for the lulz. I’m sure my ending’s gonna be for the lulz.

Well, in order to get the best, true ending, you have to get another ending. So to get the true ending you have to play at least twice. And I honestly recommend you aim for every ending you can (there are six in total), before you go for the true ending.

Mostly because, by the time you reach the true ending, you’ll have a full understanding of all the character’s motivations, and everything pieces together much better. There are visual faqs in gamefaqs which tell you which decisions you have to take to purposedely get to one ending or the other, so once you finish it now, go have a look.

I got into the game not knowing anything about it, and I didn’t stop until I got all the endings :P

@FaithlessMr: I pretty much convinced myself not to use a guide… but well we’ll see! I hope i get more time to play.

      • FaithlessMr

Don’t worry, as the guide won’t tell you anything you have to do puzzle wise or spoil you anything for that matter. It simply tells you which path you need to take to get to a certain ending.

I’m recommending it because the game is not really clear about which actions lead to each ending. The only thing the game does for you is to keep track of your previous choices in the game by greying out the options you previously chose, and while that helps, it can be still be challenging and cumbersome to try and get all the six endings by yourself (which still doesn’t mean it is impossible, depending on your patience and dedication ofc!) ;)

          @FaithlessMr: I hope there’s a fast forward/skip button. ~.~
