id Software: DOOM 4 images “have nothing to do with what you’re gonna see”

Design director Matthew Hooper responds.

When DOOM 4 was rumored to be canceled on Wednesday, Bethesda was quick to deny it. What they didn’t deny, however, were the screenshots that accompanied the rumor. According to id Software design director Matthew Hooper – speaking on Twitter – the images “have nothing to do with what you’re gonna see in DOOM 4.” He said, “when we officially show things you’ll see awesome.”

And if he wasn’t clear enough, he added in another tweet, “when we officially show things, fans will be happy.”

It should be noted that Hooper did not directly confirm or deny the images.
