Gundam: Battle Operation Fami-shots

First look at free-to-play Gundam. has gone live with its online preview of Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation, Namco Bandai’s new free-to-play downloadable Gundam due in late June for PlayStation 3.

The game features 6-on-6 multiplayer matches. In addition to fighting in the Mobile Suit, your pilot will need to exit the mecha to make repairs. While on the ground, you’re also able to hop on the back of a friend’s Mobile Suit. While you’re at it, you can plant bombs in enemy territory and launch rockets to the kneecaps of other Mobile Suits.

You’ll be able to search for and join rooms in an online lobby. Text chat, voice chat – basically your standard multiplayer features – are all included. After a match, you’ll be able to customize and upgrade your Mobile Suit with new parts and equipment.
